The third and latest new children’s jewellery range that we’ve just put on the site is the Little Diamonds collection.

Each of the pretty little pieces has, as the name implies, a little diamond in it and is set in sterling silver while being presentented in a stylish gift box making it ideal for a gift.

Most of the pieces are for everyday use but there are also some popular christening bangles for example, the one which is silver with a cross and a diamond set in the middle - very simple and very stylish.

We have certainly been busy with our children’s jewellery ranges and we’re happy to say that some more have been added to the site.

One of the new ranges from our suppliers is the Me To You range - featuring the lovely Tatty Teddy character that’s so famous - you’re sure to have seen him all over the place - cards, pictures, etc. - he’s a little cutie and certainly makes for an ideal present for a collector or someone who likes bears.

Nothing elicits more sounds of admiration from the people gathered in a wedding than the cute flower girl and ring bearer. This is with the exception of the bride herself, of course.  Flower girls and ring bearers are beautiful additions to the wedding ceremony.

It shows our tradition of including children in this ceremony of renewal, hope and commitment. Weddings are primarily family affairs so it’s also a great way for the old and young members to meet. If you are the proud mother of the adorable flower girl or the cute ring bearer, here are a few tips to make your little bundle of joy beautiful and in his and her best behavior.

1. Before anything else, ask if he or she wants to be a part of the wedding. Some kids actually end up crying or giving tantrums on the wedding day itself because they do not want to be there. Explain the importance the event and his or her role. If your child knows what he or she is suppose to do there and says yes willingly, then you can at least be assured that he or she wants to be the flower girl or the ring bearer.
2. Be there with your child on the rehearsal dinner and fittings. This will assure you kid that you support them and that there is no need for apprehensions. It’s also a good thing that your child knows the bride or groom’s family so that he or she will be at ease and will have more fun on the date itself.
3. The night before the wedding, make sure that your child is properly rested and sleeps early. Make sure that she gets enough rest so that he or she can wake up bright and early the next morning.
4. On the day of the wedding, dress your child an hour or two before the wedding so that the dress or suit will not be crumpled. You can start with the hair first before putting on the dress. Flowers or a hair pin can be great accessories for the hair. Make your daughter feel extra pretty with a pair of beautiful birthstone earrings or a simple gold necklace. You also have the option of letting her wear a pretty bracelet. You little boy will look great in his small suit and his dad’s cufflinks.
5. Now, there’s nothing left for your precious one but to walk down the aisle with a pretty smile. Take lots of picture and enjoy the moment.

This might seem a nightmarish scenario for you children having short attention spans but children are never too young to be exposed to music, films and museums. The younger they are the better. Children can be inspired by external stimuli and their minds absorb information like a sponge. That’s why it’s easier to teach kids who are younger because of their enthusiasm and curiosity.

However, if you do plan to take them to watch their first musical performance or a movie, you might want to ask these questions before you do? First, exactly how old should you start bringing them to theatres and music halls? You can bring kids to movies as early as five years old but it would be best to wait for them to turn seven before you consider bringing them to performances that require more concentration and time.

Second, you’d also want to ask yourself what kind of performances you would be taking them. If it is a musical, would they like the singer? It’s actually advisable to take your kids to musical performances as opposed to concerts. Although it would be fun to bring them to their favorite pop singers’ concerts, once in a while you can take them to a piano recital or an orchestra.

This can improve your child’s musical range, especially if he or she is taking music lessons. Explain to them the event you will be attending and ask them is they would like to come. Musical performances would also require a more refined dress code so it’s a great time for your daughter to wear her lovely new dress.

Anthropological museums will appeal to your kids with its display of dinosaurs and prehistoric people. This will also create a genuine love for learning and knowledge in your kids.

Birthdays are one of the most special celebrations for any child. Younger children have a different understanding of how truly a special day it is. But when they turn eight years old, they now acquire a different perspective, especially for girls.

A perfect birthday party would be a sweet eight birthday party where your little girl can experience an initiation into girlhood. And this may is the perfect time to initiate your daughter and her friends into the fine art of dancing. All in all, make the affair sweet and simple.

Family reunions are the best time to show-off your beautiful family.
